1. What we provide

Our service is personal portrait photography for life's milestones: sixtieth and seventieth birthdays, retirement, anniversaries, and multi-generation family sessions. Sessions take place at your home, a location of your choice, or in our studio. Every package includes a pre-session planning call, the session itself, professional editing, and delivery of high-resolution images through a private online gallery.

2. Booking and agreement

Bookings are made through this site's inquiry form, by phone ((406) 555-0129), or by email ([email protected]). A booking is confirmed when we send a written confirmation and, where applicable, receive the deposit. Dates are held for 72 hours pending your confirmation. We may propose alternative dates during peak seasons.

3. Fees and payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Payment is accepted by card, ACH transfer, or check; deposits and schedules are stated in your estimate. Applicable sales tax is added where required by state law. There are no automatic renewals unless a monthly plan explicitly says so, and any recurring plan can be stopped at any time as described in Section 4.

4. Cancellations and changes

Cancellations made 14 or more days before the session are refunded in full. Between 13 and 8 days before, 30% of the session fee is retained; between 7 days and 24 hours, 50%; within 24 hours or on the day of the session, 80%. Weather or safety-related cancellations are rescheduled at no charge. Deposits may be transferred to another date once at no cost.

5. Copyright, releases, and likeness

All images are copyrighted by the studio under U.S. copyright law. Clients receive a personal-use license: you may print, share, and post your images for personal, non-commercial purposes. Commercial use, resale, or entering images into contests generally requires written permission, which we grant routinely for personal milestone images. If we wish to use your images in our portfolio, marketing, or exhibitions, we will ask you first using a separate written release, and you may decline. Model releases for all recognizable persons in group photographs are obtained at the session.

Text and images on this site may not be copied without credit and a link. Reasonable quotation with attribution is welcome.

6. Delivery schedule

Edited high-resolution images are delivered through a private online gallery within 21 days of the session, with a download PIN held by the family contact. Print collections and framed pieces are delivered within 6-8 weeks after proof approval. Rush editing (72-hour gallery) is available on select packages.

7. Liability

We carry general liability insurance (Farmers Insurance GL policy MT-77120). To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service, and we are not liable for indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Participation in sessions and tours is at your own pace; please tell us about conditions that affect safe participation.

8. Force majeure

If storms, wildfires, power or network outages, public orders, or illness make service unsafe or impossible, we will reschedule or refund as described in Section 4 without cancellation fees.

9. Your information

How we collect, use, store, and share personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, including rights available to residents of California and other states.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. Material changes affecting existing bookings will be sent to affected clients directly.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will first be addressed by a good-faith conversation - call us - and unresolved disputes will be brought in the courts of Gallatin County, Montana, or as otherwise required by law. Where state law provides small-claims procedures, you may always use them.
